Match Results / Report

  • Points Match
  • Mick Smith (63lb 2oz)
  • Terry Williamson (52lb 13oz)
  • Charlie Rayner (43lb 9oz)

Things didn’t get off to the best of starts when the venue was double booked so we had to move to different pegs which resulted in a very packed lake.

In first place and winning his first ever TWAPS match was Mick Smith. Mick caught on sweetcorn on the pole and weighed in 63lb 2oz for a comfortable win.

In second place was Terry Williamson with 52lb 13oz caught on chopped worm and caster on the pole at 11m.

In 3rd place was Charlie Rayner who caught late on in the match weighing in 43lb 9oz.

The next match is on August 13th at Tyler’s Common Horse Shoe Lake. The draw at 8am at the lake venue rules say we have to have a half time weigh due to the fact that there can be very high weights caught at this venue so we will be fishing 3 hours having a weigh in then fish the second 3 hours. There will be 2 sets of scales in use so it shouldn’t take long to weigh in.

If you want to fish let me know by 9 pm on 10th August 07515495408.

Dip tanks at the Inn on the Lake and Cobham

Members

It is compulsory for you to use the dip tanks provided at both the Inn on the Lake and Cobham fisheries. Please use them to dip your landing nets, unhooking mats (and cradles etc.) and weigh slings upon arrival at the fishery and certainly BEFORE placing your nets in the water or when you start fishing.

If you are found not to have done this you will be asked to leave the fishery.

Repeat offenders may be subject to disciplinary action.

Thank you for your cooperation.

It is with regret that with immediate effect fishing at the Paddock Wood fishery is suspended until further notice.

This is due to the Committee being recently informed of a change of owners of the site and affects both the lake and the River Medway.

The Committee is currently in discussions with the new owners, and we will keep TWAPS Members updated.
