  • Tony Rayner (97lb 12oz)
  • Charlie Rayner (88lb 3oz)

Today’s match result at Cottington

9 anglers took the long trip down to Deal to fish Cottington Lakes for the Individual Cup. The match was won by T. Williamson with 112lb 2oz caught on worm over pellet at 3 and later on in the margins. 2nd T. Rayner with 97lb 12oz caught on paste in the margin and 3rd was C. Rayner. Most people had a good day’s fishing although everyone seemed to experience a quiet spell at some point in the match.

Just to clarify Pike and trout don’t count in matches.

The next match is 17th September at Manor Fisheries in Headcorn on the mixed lake 3.

Let me know if you want to fish by 9pm on Thursday 14th September. Be aware all anglers have to show their rod license to be allowed to fish so don’t forget to bring it. Draw is 8am fish at 9am.

Dip tanks at the Inn on the Lake and Cobham

Members

It is compulsory for you to use the dip tanks provided at both the Inn on the Lake and Cobham fisheries. Please use them to dip your landing nets, unhooking mats (and cradles etc.) and weigh slings upon arrival at the fishery and certainly BEFORE placing your nets in the water or when you start fishing.

If you are found not to have done this you will be asked to leave the fishery.

Repeat offenders may be subject to disciplinary action.

Thank you for your cooperation.
