There are three lakes in total, Large, Middle and Small (Stock Pond). All three lakes are surrounded by woodland and look very picturesque in the sunset.

The Large Lake, or Main Lake, is the first one you encounter on entering the fishery. It is approximately 150m long by 100m wide (4acres). The depth varies considerably from 1.2m (4ft) in the south east corner to over 7m (20ft) in the north east corner. The fish in here list as follows: pike to 20lb+, carp to 30lb+, tench to 7lb+, perch to 3lb and bream to 7lb+, as well as numerous roach, rudd and eels. One word of warning though this lake can be snaggy!!

Note that in the interests of fish welfare and angler safety, the reed swim may be closed when the water level in this lake drops too low.

Note: Priority must be given for disabled anglers wishing to fish from the swim just in front of the entrance gate (the ‘Gate Swim’), as there is room for two anglers.

The Middle Lake is roughly 60m long by 67m in wide (approximately 1 acre). The depth on this lake is a more consistent 2.4m deep (8ft). There is an island in the North East corner roughly 10m in diameter. The fish in this lake are still abundant in number and consist of the following: pike up to 6lb, carp to 20lb, roach to 1lb, tench to 5lb, and bream to 4lb. This lake is supposedly easier to fish than the Large lake.

The Small Lake (Stock Pond) is approximately ⅓rd of an acre and about 1m deep. This lake is stocked with small skimmers, carp, pike, roach and rudd and is the easiest of the three to fish.

Members can use the Hotel’s toilets, bar and order refreshments. Clean footwear only please. Note: Members must present their current TWAPS membership card to reception when using the Hotel’s facilities and must NOT go past reception.1

Bailiffs regularly carry out patrols of all Society fisheries. Juniors must be accompanied by an adult Society member at all times. Fishing on the Small lake is between the hours of 7a.m. and 8p.m. whilst fishing on the Middle and Large lakes is allowed 24/7. (Note: currently night fishing on the Middle lake is for a trial period only.) Please keep all lights away from hotel windows. The only baits banned on this water are nuts and seed baits i.e. hemp, peas, beans, etc.

Access to the Inn On The Lake is via a barrier. To enter simply press the button on the right and reception will let you in. On the way out it is a pressure pad and opens automatically. There is also a camera concentrated on the barrier to record anyone entering or leaving.

Access to the fishery itself (the lakes), is via a gate on the left just after the barrier. The gate is locked with a combination padlock. The combination number is on your membership card. Please ensure that this gate is locked at all times when not in use.

As this is a strictly members only water, prospective members may only view the water by pre-arrangement, if accompanied by a Bailiff or Committee Member.
