Head Bailiff Introduction

Members

Firstly, I would like to take the opportunity and to take a moment to thank Gary Bushell, the previous Head Bailiff for the dedication and hard work he put into the Club which has laid the foundations for the future,

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Billy Hargreaves, I am a serving member of the Committee, and have been for the past 9 years. I have taken up the position as Head Bailiff so I can continue to build further on the foundations already laid to progress the Club. I run a local business, with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, managing multiple teams and work sites, which I feel will be an asset to, not only the role of Head Bailiff, but the Club as well.

As Head Bailiff I have a clear vision of how I would like to make my own mark. I would like to expand the current number of Bailiffs, so our waters are patrolled in the way they should be, to insure not only the highest standard of fish welfare are maintained but also the safest environment for members to fish. To assist in more efficient management of our waters, I will propose to the committee, we look to appoint an assistant head bailiff as additional support.

I will carry out a full inspection of our waters, this will include fish stocks, possible reconfiguration of swims, and the environment around our waters. I will look to progress the feeding program currently in place, propose a stocking programme for all our waters to encompass all species to benefit existing fish stocks in each lake to not only improve fishing but to maintain a proper fishery management structure going forward.

My intention is to publish yearly work plans of what work the Club intends to carry out, so the membership has a greater insight into the work the Club intends to carry out on their behalf.

I am grateful to the Members who have previously contributed to work parties in the past and the effort they have given. If elected I will be expanding on the work they have carried out by increasing the amount or work parties and requesting support from the whole membership going forward, this will accelerate the rate current projects are completed and allow future projects to be completed in a timely manner.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I look forward to serving you as the Head Bailiff.

If you have any Bailiff or fishery related issues I can be contacted using the Contact form.

Yours sincerely

Billy Hargreaves
Head Bailiff
